ABOUT CAKE CLUB

The Cake Club Story

For over 15 years, I’ve poured my heart into designing, creating, and building what is now The Cake Club. As a self-taught designer, this journey has been one of discovery, growth, and expression. Fashion became my outlet—a way to share my creativity and connect with the world.

The idea of “cake” has always been at the center of my brand. Cake means something different to everyone—whether it’s a symbol of celebration, indulgence, or individuality. Over the years, the name of the brand evolved as much as I did: from Oh So Cakey, to Cakey Girls, to Cake, and now, The Cake Club. Each iteration represents a chapter of my life, my growth as a designer, and my deeper understanding of what this brand means to me and the people it touches.

The Cake Club is more than just clothing—it’s a platform for freedom, creativity, and connection. It’s allowed me to be an entrepreneur on my own terms, creating a lifestyle that lets me work, express myself, and still be a present, nurturing mother to my kids. This balance is one of my greatest joys, and it fuels my passion for what I do.

The brand’s success has been incredible. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some amazing talents, including Nigerian musician Bnxn, who’s signed under the Empire label, and Skillibeng, for his UK appearance and listening party, where we provided custom T-shirts and tote bags. I’ve also stlyed stars, DJ Cuppy, Stefflon Don, Ruga, and Dami Bliz rock The Cake Club designs. On the international stage, our clothing has been worn by DreamDoll and Maino, two well-known American rappers.

One of the most humbling highlights of this journey was having The Cake Club featured in The Times newspaper, a recognition of the brand’s impact and success. These milestones are a testament to the love, effort, and vision I’ve poured into this venture.

Beyond fashion, The Cake Club has become a way for me to give back to my community. Having learned so much through trial and error, I love helping others who are on a similar journey—sharing lessons, offering advice, and helping them avoid the mistakes I’ve made along the way. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing others thrive and knowing that I’ve played a part in their success.

The Cake Club isn’t just about clothes; it’s about celebrating individuality, community, and the journey of life. It’s a reminder that no matter where you start, with dedication and creativity, you can build something truly special. This is my story—and it’s still being written.
